Families must demonstrate a willingness to participate in the Habitat
ministry by helping build their own house and the homes of other Habitat
families.
A total of 300 hours is required by each family, applied to the renovation
or construction of their own home or others' homes, or in ongoing
administrative work of Habitat for those unable to actively participate
in the construction.
Friends and relatives may assist in building up sweat equity hours,
but may not contribute more than 20% (60 hours).
